It's pretty confusing that you guys invented slightly different names for the instance types. E.g., there is no "Super XXL" instance.

It would be much, much better if you used the official names and also had the api shorthands somewhere (e.g. m1.small, m2.2xlarge, etc.).

    yeah ... crap
with the new instance types Amazon added over the last years our system broke
    I will change that

What do you think about a reminder next to the add instance dialog that shows you the costs of the instance?

A reminder? Not sure what you mean.

I wouldn't mind a screen that shows the burn rate - e.g. monthly scalarium cost and also (projected) aws costs and a history.

I would add the costs of an instance (Amazon/Scalarium - 1h, daily, one month) in the form which you use to add an instance to a role

the burn rate will be added to the clouds dashboard later too
the cloud dashboard will undergo a bigger change anyway :)

I guess you're right about the costs. Wouldn't hurt to see them. Not sure if showing scalarium costs is as simple as it sounds, but I'd def. would like to see AWS costs there. But even those are tricky with reserved instances and so on.
